Organize a Community Seeds Group Near You.

The Community Seeds program is unique. It can be run anywhere that a few dedicated gardeners can gather together. The classes are crafted to take a group of gardeners throughout an entire growing season—from planning the seed garden to harvesting and cleaning seeds. Participants learn essential information and gain hands-on experience in bringing garden crops from seed to flower to fruit—and back to seed again. At the end of the season, gardeners will have successfully saved healthy, true-to-type seeds from a collective seed garden or from their own individual gardens. Seeds are shared among program participants and other local gardeners.
