Shanyn Siegel
Shanyn Siegel has worked in sustainable agriculture and horticulture for over 15 years, specializing in organic vegetable gardening and organic seed production. Shanyn's seed conservation skills were honed during her career as Collection Curator and Head of Preservation for Seed Savers Exchange, where she grew and evaluated, and saved seeds from, thousands of heirloom and open-pollinated vegetable varieties. Passionate about local food and seed stewardship, Shanyn currently works in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas to educate and empower gardeners to grow their own food organically.
Her other horticultural experience includes plant disease diagnostics, community garden supervision, and garden design and maintenance.
